- Bell Tents and all other tents supplied by Bell Tent Sussex come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty, which covers defects in materials and workmanship for personal use.
- The warranty does not apply to Bell Tents and all other tents supplied by Bell Tent Sussex used for trade purposes, where they are in constant use.
- Stretch Tents come with a 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects, but it does not cover damage caused by improper use or installation.
Improper Setup and Use
- Any damage caused by improper setup, as outlined in the provided setup guide or installation training, will void the warranty.
- Customers must ensure the tent is correctly installed and tensioned. Improper use or setup can lead to significant damage, which is not covered under the warranty.
-
Examples of improper use include but are not limited to:
- Failing to secure the tent properly with stakes and guy ropes, resulting in wind damage or the tent collapsing.
- Allowing water to pool on the tent surface due to incorrect tensioning or sagging fabric. This can cause undue stress on the canvas, poles, and fittings, leading to tears or structural failure.
- Incorrect staking of the tent or improper positioning of poles, which can compromise the stability and integrity of the structure.
- Overloading the tent poles or fabric by hanging heavy objects or exceeding the recommended capacity for the tent.
- Setting up the tent on uneven or unstable ground without ensuring proper leveling, leading to stress on poles and fabric.
- Using the tent in conditions beyond its design limitations (e.g., extremely high winds, snow, or heavy rain) without additional reinforcements or appropriate safety precautions.
- Failing to regularly inspect and maintain tension in the tent fabric and guy ropes after setup, especially in changing weather conditions.
3. Trade Usage
- Bell Tents and all other tents supplied by Bell Tent Sussex used for trade or commercial purposes, including frequent rental use, are not covered under the 1-year warranty.
- For tents used in a commercial environment where they are in constant use, Bell Tent Sussex can offer inspection and repair services, but these are not covered by the standard warranty.
4. General Wear and Tear
- The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including fading, minor leaks, or fabric abrasions.
- Routine maintenance, such as cleaning, drying, and safe storage of the tent, is the responsibility of the customer and crucial for prolonging its lifespan.
5. Accidental or Negligent Damage
- The warranty does not cover any damage caused by accidents, negligence, or misuse, such as:
- Using the tent in extreme weather conditions without proper precautions.
- Overloading the tent with excessive weight or failing to follow recommended guidelines.
- Damage resulting from storms, high winds, or other natural forces.
6. Customer Responsibility
- Customers must ensure proper installation and maintenance of the tent.
- Improper use or failure to maintain the tent as per the provided guidelines will void the warranty.
7. Claims and Repairs
- For any warranty claim, the customer must provide photographic evidence of the damage and describe the conditions under which the damage occurred.
- If damage is determined to have resulted from improper use or setup, the claim will not be accepted.
- Non-warranty repairs can be offered at an additional cost, with quotes provided upon request.
8. Limitations
- The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- The warranty is valid only for tents used within the UK. Tents used outside the UK may not qualify for warranty claims.

How Do We CollectThe Plastic?
We have all grown up to love and respect where we live. The beach is a huge part of our lives which is why we need to protect it as much as we can.
Over the years Bell Tent Sussex have been collecting 1kg of plastic waste for every Bell Tent we sell, all from the Sussex coast. This will then be used to create energy from our local clean, waste to energy centre preventing it from going to landfill. The energy created will be in the form of electricity and hot water. The electricity will be sent the national grid whilst the hot water will be used for network heating.
Bell Tent Sussex have a few ideas how we can gain interest to actively go out and help keep our beaches clean and safe, whilst having the backing our clean tech company to deal with all the plastic waste in a clean environmentally safe way.
What We Do Now
We joined Greenspark to ensure that Bell Tent Sussex has a positive impact on our planet and its people. Check out our impact so far. For every sale we will collect 10 plastic bottles from the beaches.
